It is the Policy of the Board that all students are entitled to a safe and healthy learning environment in our schools and we are committed to addressing the individual and collective accommodations of its students. While it is impossible to create a totally risk-free environment, working together, we can create the optimum allergen safe setting for all our students.
All partners in the St. Stephen Catholic school community (parents, students, staff and volunteers) are asked to be watchful for non-allergen safe foods as they move throughout the school facility and property.
The Allergy Safe School Plan is sent home to all families each year and consists of a variety of educational practices and awareness procedures which are focussed on helping our community to provide knowledgeable and caring support for our members with allergies. The following steps outline the elements of St. Stephen’s Allergy Safe School Plan.
